Spirit Center
The Future Vision of Spirit Center: The Gateway to Excellence

The North Carolina Shakespeare Festival has a new vision.

We are expanding our outreach and programming to create a Gateway to Excellence for High Point, the Triad and the state of North Carolina.

Our new home, Spirit Center, is a 51,000 sq. ft., two-building performing arts campus located at the corner of W. Ward Ave. and Green Street in downtown High Point.

Spirit Center signifies a new era of artistic expression, education and outreach for the Triad and the state. The campus will become a gateway to inspiring educational programs, and will serve as a resource for theatre and all performing arts groups seeking costume and scenery service at reasonable rates.

The 31,000 sq. ft. Production Place includes the Renaissance Learning Center, two rehearsal halls, and scene, costume and properties shops. The 15,000 sq. ft. Outreach Place includes administrative offices for staff, directors, designers and outreach program leaders.

Plans for Spirit Center include:
Discovery Acting Classes

“Spirit Center’s very name reflects its potential to enrich our state’s cultural and educational life. Its purpose goes far beyond meeting The Festival’s production needs. It aims to ennoble the human spirit in things cultural, educational and artistic. Over time, NCSF’s Spirit Center will become known statewide as a very special place, a gateway for personal and professional growth and discovery.”
- Ms. Chris Greene, Community Leader and Festival Trustee
