Family Theatre Season

NCSF’s new Family Theatre Season makes A Christmas Carol and other wonderful productions available to families throughout the state and region. Unfortunately, performing arts activities for the entire family continue to be scarce. This makes The Festival’s Family Theatre Season very special; it offers parents and children the uncommon opportunity of spending quality time together while enjoying live, professional theatre. A fable, history, science fiction - who knows what the next Family Theatre production will be? All you need to know is that The Festival is playing again!

MainStage Season

Since 1977, NCSF’s MainStage Season has been entertaining students and citizens throughout our region and state with outstanding quality productions of the world’s greatest classics, particularly the plays of William Shakespeare, the world’s most popular playwright.

Over 100 productions of plays by Shakespeare, Moliere, Sheridan, Shaw and others have been produced on the MainStage at The High Point Theatre. Many of these plays have subsequently toured to colleges, universities and civic centers statewide.

The magnitude and spectacle of the classics distinguish the MainStage Season. Large cast productions featuring trained, professional actors in exquisite costumes and inspiring environments power the MainStage. These productions attract hearty, adventurous audiences of students and citizens from large and small communities throughout our great state.

NCSF invites you to experience its MainStage Season. Discover for yourself why NCSF is recognized as one of ‘the finest theatres in the south, perhaps the nation.

Twin City Theatre Season

The new Twin City Theatre season differs significantly from NCSF’s traditional MainStage Season. Performances will be held in Winston-Salem, not High Point, at The Mountcastle Forum in the Sawtooth Building. This intimate space is custom designed with 100 theatre seats purchased from an old movie house in Bakersville, California. The season includes more contemporary plays and smaller-cast classics.

Twin City Theatre season patrons can look forward to ‘being in on the action’ as they sit just feet away from the stage, participating in engaging performances that entertain, provoke and enlighten. The Twin City Theatre season is sure to become an important part of our region’s burgeoning cultural, artistic and educational life.

Tickets for the season’s productions are on sale now at the High Point Theatre Ticket Office. To purchase tickets, call 336-887-3001, Mon. through Fri., from noon until 5:00 p.m. Or, go to www.highpointtheatre.com.
