NCShakes Hosts Educator Appreciation Event

HIGH POINT, N.C. – Educators are invited to NCShakes’ second annual reception to honor their hard work and commitment to students, on Thursday, February 20, 5 – 6:30p.m. at Spirit Center, 807 W. Ward Avenue in High Point.

The event is intended to express thanks and to better acquaint educators with the facilities, outreach and education programs, made available by NCShakes. The early evening event will include complimentary refreshments, door prizes and entertainment as well as the opportunity to see classroom, performance and special event spaces of Spirit Center.

Staff members including Managing and Artistic Director Pedro Silva, Assistant Managing Director Meredith Stephens, and Outreach and Education Director Sherri Raeford will host the event, and share information of interest regarding the theatre company’s upcoming programs including local performances of Shakespeare To Go (featuring “The Comedy of Errors,” “Hamlet”); Hands On Shakespeare teacher workshop; Teen Theatre Workshops and Master Classes; SummerStage Camps; and, the English-Speaking Union’s annual Guilford County Shakespeare Competition.
