GlobeWorks
GlobeWorks is a high-energy, 50-minute touring production featuring four professional actors performing scenes from Shakespeare’s most well-known and studied plays. Revised annually, GlobeWorks provides audiences with an opportunity to experience the excitement of Shakespeare’s plays in a live, interactive environment, just the way Shakespeare intended his plays to be enjoyed.
As an arts-in-education program, GlobeWorks is the perfect introduction to Shakespeare for students ranging from middle school to college. GlobeWorks is a fully self-contained tour production that can perform anywhere. NCSF supports presenters by providing a detailed study guide on the NCSF website. Workshops and/or classroom visitations are also available to show participants how Shakespeare comes alive when taken from the page to the stage. GlobeWorks is also great for older audiences who want a sampling of Shakespeare’s works.
For more than 25 years, GlobeWorks has performed in theatres, auditoriums, gymnasiums, audio-visual rooms, libraries and social halls across North Carolina and the southeast, reaching an average of 30,000 students and adults annually. NCSF gratefully acknowledges The North Carolina General Assembly for grant support of GlobeWorks.
NCSF recommends teachers and educators seek grant support for a GlobeWorks visit from their area Arts Council, or community service clubs.
